Nobody books a coach off a caption. But plenty of people decide against one.

She has been following you for 4 months. She has read every post, saved them, and told nobody she’s considering this. What she’s working out, quietly is whether you’re the sort of person she could say the humiliating thing to.

Which is a strange thing to prove in the space above a photo of your notebook. It can’t be done with adjectives. It gets done with evidence, and with giving something away for free before anybody has paid you a penny.

How to Write a Life Coach Caption

Match the caption to what the post is actually about. A client win and a Tuesday-morning yoga sesh are two different posts.

Check this first:

The consent test. Your client win captions are the most persuasive thing on your entire grid and the only ones that could end your business. Before any post referencing real client work: get permission in writing, keep the message, and strip out anything that could identify her. Not just the name. The job title, the town, the specific detail her sister would recognize. If you’re in any doubt whether she’d be comfortable seeing it, you already have your answer. Post the pattern, never the person, unless she has handed you it herself.

The give-something-away test. Read your caption and ask what a stranger gets from it if she never books. Most coaching captions announce that a session happened. Nobody cares that a session happened. She wants the question you asked, the reframe, the sentence you use when somebody says “I should be further along by now”. Give the actual thing. The fear that you’ll teach her out of needing you is the wrong fear, because free advice that works is the proof.

One more thing before you scroll on. Your ask has to be smaller than the thing you’re selling, because sending a coach a message means admitting out loud that you need one, and that is the real price of entry. “Book a discovery call” asks her for a decision. “Message me the thing you can’t say to anybody else” asks her for a sentence. 

And put your prices on the site, because “DM for pricing” forces exactly the conversation the nervous follower will never start.
