200+ Event Planner Business Name Ideas You’ll Want To Steal
Your business name gets said out loud far more than you’d think. At a wedding fair. In a car, by somebody recommending you. Down the phone to a venue manager writing it on a whiteboard.
So it has to survive strangers saying it. Looking nice on a logo is the easy part.
Here are 200, sorted by the kind of planner you are.
(The title said steal. I meant it.)
If you plan on having a website or blog check your name is available before setting your heart on it.
How to Choose an Event Planner Business Name
Three tests. Run your shortlist through all of them.
The car park test. Somebody says your name to a friend, once, over noise, in a car park. Can that friend spell it the next morning? If they can’t, they can’t find you. Nothing else about the name matters as much as this.
The five year test. Plenty of planners named themselves after weddings in year one, then spent year four explaining that they do corporate too. Name the work you want, not the work you’ve got.
The overlap test. Don’t put a word in your name that you’ll want in your slogan. Your name and your slogan get read together, so don’t let them say the same thing twice. Example: If your name is Gather Round Events, “gather” is spent. A slogan about gathering underneath it just says it again, louder. Let the name claim the theme and give the slogan a different job, like what you’re actually like to work with.
Now go and pick one.
