250+ Unique Photography Slogans And Taglines
Your slogan isn’t a description of your style. It’s the line that stops a woman who has fourteen photographers open in fourteen tabs and no earthly idea how to pick one.
Your portfolio can’t do that bit. Every portfolio on her screen is lovely. That’s the problem.
What she’s actually choosing between is fourteen versions of one hour of her life, and whether that hour will be lovely or excruciating.
Below are 260, sorted by tone, written the way you’d talk to a nervous client rather than the way you’d write a brochure.
(Nick whichever ones you want. That’s what they’re here for.)
How to Choose a Photography Slogan
Nearly every photography slogan sells the images. Sharp, timeless, beautifully lit. All true, and all wasted, because she isn’t worried about your images. She’s seen them. She liked them. That’s why she’s on your site.
She’s worried about her arms. About her double chin in profile. About her husband’s face when a stranger tells him to relax, and whether the four-year-old will scream through the whole thing.
So the question every photography slogan has to answer isn’t “are your pictures good”. She’s decided that already. It’s “what is that hour going to feel like”.
Write at the fear, not the file.
“Timeless images, thoughtfully captured” answers a question nobody asked. “Nobody says cheese here” answers the one she’s been chewing over since Thursday.
Then run it past three checks before it goes on the site.
Could a photographer three towns over paste your slogan on her homepage tonight and lose nothing? If yes, it isn’t yours yet. Make it something only you would say.
Does it repeat a word that’s already in your studio name? If you’re Golden Hour Studio, “golden” is spent. You’ve said it. Say something else.
And does it survive your whole diary? If you shoot newborns on Tuesday and a barn wedding on Saturday, a slogan about wild outdoor light leaves half your work with nowhere to live.
Read the winner out loud in the voice you use on a pre-shoot call. If you’d cringe saying it to a woman who’s already told you she hates being photographed, it’s the wrong one.
